In a world built on instant gratification, it’s easy to feel frustrated when life doesn’t unfold on our timeline.

In this episode of What’s the Universe Say About That?, we ask a powerful question: What is the true purpose of patience, and how do we find it when we feel like we can’t wait any longer to have what we want?

The wisdom the Universe shares reveals that patience is far more than simply waiting. It is a pathway to trust, alignment, and learning to move with the guidance that is quietly supporting us for our highest good, even when we can’t yet see how things are coming together.

If you’ve been feeling restless, stuck, or out of sync with where your life is heading, this episode offers comforting guidance and a fresh perspective that may help you reconnect with peace, clarity, and joy, right where you are.

[Mary Obana]

Are you eager for something to happen?

[Mike Lannon]

No one likes to be told to be patient, but today we're going to talk about patience and why it's so important in our lives.

[Mary Obana]

Welcome to this episode of What's the Universe Say About That. I'm Mary Obana and along with my husband Michael, we ask the universe for answers. You see, I'm blessed with this beautiful gift where I get quiet and I can connect with the loving guidance of the universe.

[Mike Lannon]

So today you'll see and hear Mary connect directly to that divine guidance and hear the words of wisdom flow directly through her in response to questions about life and the challenges we all face at certain times. So welcome to our home and welcome to this now normal but always amazing part of our daily lives. So sit back, get ready, and let's hear what the universe has to say about that.

[Mary Obana]

Let's do it. Hello.

[Mike Lannon]

Hey everybody.

Today, I'm really excited about this episode. I can't wait. It's all about patience, which I have very little of.

So today I think we're going to ask the universe how to live a more patient life and why is patience different than just sitting around waiting. So I have lots of questions.

[Mary Obana]

Okay.

You're all riled up.

[Mike Lannon]

Lots of answers. Yeah, exactly.

So today, it's all about patience.

[Mary Obana]

Buckle up.

[Mike Lannon]

Buckle up. Exactly.

[Mary Obana]

All right.

[Mike Lannon]

Let's do it.

[Mary Obana]

Let's do it.

Patience. What do we need to know about patience?

[Mike Lannon]

Thank you.

[Mary Obana]

Okay. Here we go.

[The Universe]

Yes.

Many of you, at one time or another, have been asked to be patient. But what is patience, you ask, and why is it important, or what is it that you are to know? Patience comes, or you are asked to be patient when you want something to happen, and it is not happening fast enough.

You have in your own mind established when you want something to happen. You have determined the when, and then when it doesn't come as quickly as you want, you are asked to exercise patience. There is so much you cannot see.

Timing is at the root of patience. And timing is related to far more than you can see. There is so much that is in motion for you.

So many intricate parts. So many facets of your life. So many things that are happening for you.

All of it, much of it, works in conjunction with other things to make what is so. The root of patience is recognizing that what happens, happens when it is to happen. That timing of when it is to happen involves more than you can see and is not always in your highest good to determine.

Patience is about trust. When you trust that there's more, so much more that you cannot see, and you trust that there are things that need to happen for your highest good, then it allows you to accept the timing when it comes. Patience is about letting go of your timetable.

Patience is about trusting that there's more that you cannot see. If you look at previous experiences when you wanted something to happen so quickly, and it didn't, if you look at that experience, you will often see that something happened, something needed to happen for you before that thing that you wanted so badly came into form. So patience requires letting go, and patience requires trusting.

This does not mean that you sit idly by and do nothing. Your life, you are an active player in your life. It just means when things don't happen as quickly as you wish them to happen, consider that there's a reason for the timing to be as it is.

Does this help?

[Mike Lannon]

That's perfect. It's perfect. I remember Mary had talked in previous messages or messages we received from you about this notion of life as ebbs and flows and trust in the ebbing. Is that what you're speaking of?

[The Universe]

Yes, but patience doesn't necessarily mean that it's an ebb. Ebbing and flowing means there are moments in your life where things are flowing beautifully, and other times where there are some dips. Patience can be a part of the dip, but patience doesn't necessarily need to be part of the dip.

[Mike Lannon]

Yeah, it's true. What would you say to someone who is young, just maybe starting out, maybe they're a child, or maybe they're just starting off in their career or their life, and they're just full of impatience? They want to have, get, and achieve or do so many things all at once, and that patience may be years, not months, or maybe decades of patience that is required. What would you say to them that have a kind of a longer time frame?

[The Universe]

At the root of this question is identifying something that is desired. When something has been identified as being desired, I want to live in a big house, I want to own my own car, whatever it might be. I want the job that allows me to do this and that.

You've established something, and then you want it to happen quickly. There are necessary steps that must be taken in such a circumstance. Necessary steps.

The steps aren't always obvious, but instead of focusing on the realization of that which is so desired, instead focus on the path to making it so, and also understand why it is you want this so badly. Sometimes it is common in the human condition to want what you want instantly, receiving it right away. There is great value in all that comes.

There is nothing wrong about having your eye on something that is desired, but recognize there are steps that you must experience for it to be so, if it is to be so.

[Mike Lannon]

That's great. Yeah, we live in an instant gratification world right now.

[The Universe]

Yes, it gets back to trust. Trusting that if something isn't happening as quickly as you want it, it is because there's something in your highest good that needs to be before it is so.

[Mike Lannon]

Beautiful.

Thank you for this message and reminder.

[The Universe]

You are welcome.

[Mike Lannon]

So many things come down to trust, and they all lead back to trust.

[The Universe]

You are becoming accustomed to that which is true.

[Mike Lannon]

Amen. Thank you.

Another perfect one.

[Mary Obana]

Yeah.

[Mike Lannon]

Trust, trust, trust, trust, trust.

[Mary Obana]

Yeah. I know.

[Mike Lannon]

And you know, like we talked about in previous ones, it's trusting in the unknown, and the unknown could be an unknown path or an unknown timing, but just trust that, however it's going to progress, it's the way it's to be or meant to be.

[Mary Obana]

Yeah. And I love how you kind of have adopted this going from, shifting from, a state of impatience to an excitement of the unveiling of whatever it is that's to come, you know, I think that's.

[Mike Lannon]

Yeah, for me, it's, yeah, the impatience was, and we talk about that high vibration, low vibration thing. And I may not really fully understand that, but I know what it feels like to be vibrating low. And that impatience is really just, it's anxiety.

And giving that up, it's replaced with just this kind of warm, calm. It's really nice. And excitement to like, Oh, I can't wait to find out what happens.

[Mary Obana]

Yeah. Yeah.

[Mike Lannon]

Yeah. And that's, that is, that's trust.

[Mary Obana]

It is.

[Mike Lannon]

Yeah. I'm becoming accustomed to the truth.

[Mary Obana]

You wear it well.

[Mike Lannon]

Finally.

[Mary Obana]

All right. Well, hopefully that has helped you think about patience in a, or understand patience in a, maybe a different way.

[Mike Lannon]

Yeah. Yeah, exactly. So look forward to seeing you again.

[Mary Obana]

We'll be here. Take it easy.
