(0:00) What would our past loved ones want us to know?
Mary Obana
(0:04) What a gift that would be. So we asked the universe.
Michael Lannon
(0:09) Welcome to this episode of What's the Universe Say About That.
Mary Obana
(0:17) I'm Mary Obana, and along with my husband, Michael, we ask the universe for answers. You see, I'm blessed with this beautiful gift where I get quiet and I can connect with the loving guidance of the universe.
Michael Lannon
(0:30) So today, you'll see and hear Mary connect directly to that divine guidance and hear the words of wisdom flow directly through her in response to questions about life and the challenges we all face at certain times.
Mary Obana
(0:44) So welcome to our home
Michael Lannon
and welcome to this now normal, but always amazing part of our daily lives. So sit back, get ready, and let's hear what the universe has to say about that.
Mary Obana
(0:57) Let's do it.
(0:59) Hi, everyone.
Michael Lannon
(1:00) Hello. Today, we have a really interesting conversation. You know, we've all lost loved ones, and I kind of wonder what would they have to say about us in our lives?
(1:14) What do they want us to know? So I thought we would ask the question of the passed folks to give us advice in a collective sense. You know, it's not an individual kind of reading per se, but just what do they want to know for all of us here?
Mary Obana
(1:33) What do they want us to know?
Michael Lannon
(1:35) Yeah.
Mary Obana
(1:35) Okay.
Michael Lannon
(1:35) Yeah.
Mary Obana
(1:36) All right.
Michael Lannon
(1:36) Okay.
Mary Obana
(1:37) Great.
Michael Lannon
(1:38) Here we go.
Mary Obana
(1:39) All right. (1:39) Let's do it.
The Universe
(1:56) Yes, so many have lost those they love so much, and as they live on the other side, what is it they would want us here to know?
(2:23) People live with such angst and worry, so much stress. When they pass to the other side, one of the things that they all experience is a realization, a perspective, an understanding of that which is of greatest importance. After the human experience, when you transition to the non-physical, all there is is love, and they see and understand, recognize this love in a new way.
(3:33) They realize that the only thing they can take with them is the love. So what is often felt by those who have passed is they want for those they love so much to learn what they now understand. They don't want you to worry.
(4:08) They don't want you to spend your precious time here on things you can't control. They want you to spend more time, more energy, enjoying your life. There's so much focus on wanting to make your life better, worrying about the things you have to do, worrying about your future, worrying about others, and what they want you to know is they wish for you to spend more time enjoying your life, loving one another, spending more time loving, less time judging, less time focusing on that which separates you from others, because in the end, it doesn't matter.
(5:26) The only thing that matters is how deeply you loved and how deeply you allowed yourself to be loved. More joy, more lightness, less worry.
(5:59) They often will say that they wish they would have spent less time worrying. They wish they would have spent less time dwelling. They wish they would have spent less time regretting and more time living.
(6:28) They especially want their loved ones to know that while they understand the loss that is felt from their absence, they want so deeply for you to feel joy, experience laughter, embrace and soak in the fullness of everything life has to offer, without guilt, without feeling that somehow you aren't honoring them by enjoying your life. Nothing makes them sadder than to see the ones they love so sad.
(7:36) To honor them, they want you to live.
(7:46) They don't want to feel bad about leaving you with these feelings of guilt or regret, remiss. They want you just to live. Nothing makes those who have loved you so deeply more joyful than to see you joyful, to see you enjoy your life, to soak in the laughter.
(8:34) There's no greater gift to those who have passed than to soak in every bit of the life that you have. They know you will never forget them. They know how deeply you love them.
(9:05) The greatest gift for them is to find and live with pure joy, letting go of the sadness. Yes, you will miss them, but living your life is what they want. They understand the preciousness of the human experience and they want it to be filled with all the goodness, all the love, all the laughter, to honor them by living.
(10:04) They often will also say that they regret not doing the same. So, let their message to you be one that you embrace. Honor their lives by living yours to the fullest.
Michael Lannon
(10:45) That's beautiful.
(10:50) When you talk about our actions or feelings or what we do here makes them happy or sad, is that an energy that they feel? Is it literally they feel sad if we're worrying?
The Universe
(11:14) It is an energy of sadness. You see, energy is what connects every soul, whether in the physical or non-physical form. Energy never ends.
(11:31) Energy always lives. Energy is the ultimate connector, communicator. They feel everything.
(11:42) They feel your energy. Nothing fills them with more joy than to feel the energy of joy from those they love so deeply. That's all they want. That's all they want.
Michael Lannon
(12:17) Thank you.
The Universe
(12:23) It is one thing to hear these words. It is another to honor these words. We hope that all of you take it to heart.
Michael Lannon
(12:50) You talk about intention. If the natural first response is guilt or sadness, this is where intention comes in?
The Universe
(13:05) Yes. Being conscious of when you feel you are resisting joy, feeling guilty, holding the sadness. Holding the sadness because you feel the sadness is what connects you to them.
(13:33) The sadness you feel might connect you that somehow they know you haven't forgotten. But you see, what connects you is love. Give those you love so much who have left this human experience the love and joy.
(14:16) The best way to give them and connect to them with love and joy is to live with love and joy. How do you want those you have lost to feel? This is not about forgetting them. This is about giving them and honoring them with the love and joy they want so much for you.
Michael Lannon
(14:58) That's so clear. Thank you for this message today.
The Universe
(15:05) Thank you for the question.
Michael Lannon
(15:18) That was beautiful. You know, one of the things that I've noticed that when we start off, they always rephrase the question at the beginning. And I always find myself thinking, I wish I had said that. I wish I had said it that way. They say it so beautifully and perfectly. And it was funny.
(15:50) And it was funny. I came into this thinking, you know, there's the living and the dead, you know, the people here and the people who've passed. And what they said right off the bat is, we're living here and they're living there. So it doesn't die as we think of it.
(16:09) It's just living on the other side. And that immediately kind of reframed things for me is if you think of living on both sides, that connection still exists. And so when they talk about living a certain way here, that's why I asked that energy thing. You're kind of still together. And if I'm happy, they're happy.
Mary Obana
(16:41) Yeah, exactly.
Michael Lannon
(16:42) So when I, instead of being guilty about feeling joy here, it's really about you share joy together.
Mary Obana
(16:52) Yeah.
Michael Lannon
(16:52) You know, you're giving them joy when you're joyful here.
Mary Obana
(16:56) Yeah.
Michael Lannon
(16:58) So it's really cool.
Mary Obana
(17:00) Always.
Michael Lannon
(17:04) Speechless.
Mary Obana
(17:05) Yeah.
Michael Lannon
(17:06) No, that was a really, that was a really beautiful one. And it is, it is, I think it takes intention because, I mean, obviously we're human. When we lose someone, the emotion is sadness.
(17:20) Yeah, of course. But after that grief, that idea of intentionally saying, no, I'm going to, by doing this joyful thing here, I am giving them joy, which you would want to do if they were here anyway.
Mary Obana
(17:38) Yeah, right, right. Yeah. I want to be connected.
Michael Lannon
(17:41) Through joy.
Mary Obana
(17:42) Through joy, not sadness.
Michael Lannon
(17:43) Yeah.
Mary Obana
(17:44) Yeah.
Michael Lannon
(17:44) Yeah. No, it was really, it was really great. It was really great.
(17:48) So hopefully you guys liked it.
(17:51) Left Mary speechless. So, I know, exactly. So thank you for joining us.
(18:02) Yeah, we hope it's helpful and we hope to see you again real soon.
Mary Obana
(18:05) Yeah, look forward to it. (18:07) Until next time.
Michael Lannon
(18:08) Bye-bye.
Mary Obana
(18:08) Take it easy.
Michael Lannon
(18:09) Bye-bye.
